Picking up the same project with another AI tool
Moving Terrace Archive from Claude Code to Codex showed me the value of keeping the project somewhere I controlled.
One of my favourite discoveries while building Terrace Archive was that I could start with Claude Code and continue with Codex. The codebase lived in GitHub, so there was a shared project to work from.
I still had to explain what I wanted and check the result. But I didn’t have to rebuild the whole thing because I changed AI tools. That experience has shaped how I think about ownership: I want the work and the useful context to remain accessible when the tools change.
