From CJ to Neebs
CJ was an earlier version of my personal assistant setup. It grew out of wanting useful conversations and decisions to survive beyond a single chat.
I wanted an assistant that could pick up useful context and work with the tools I used. The CJ setup ran through Hermes Agent on a Raspberry Pi, with Telegram as the everyday way to talk to it.
Connecting tools brought more decisions: what information should it keep, what could it access, and which actions needed me to check them first? I spent time shaping those boundaries and simplifying the setup when it became too complicated.
That work developed into Neebs, the personal assistant I use now. I keep the CJ story because it explains how I got here. The older configuration is part of the journey, rather than a description of everything running today.
What I take from it
Continuity depends on keeping useful records and giving the assistant clear access to them. It doesn’t happen simply because I start another conversation.
